Why Reform?
Wales/Cymru
The National Assembly for Wales consists of 60 Assembly Members (AMs) elected every four years via an Additional Member System (AMS). There are thus two types of AMs: 40 elected in constituencies via First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) and 20 elected via regional lists.
Mae Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru yn cynnwys 60 o Aelodau’r Cynulliad (ACau) sy’n cael eu hethol drwy’r System Aelod Ychwanegol (AMS) pob pedair blynedd. Mae yna felly ddau fath o Aelod: 40 wedi’u hethol mewn etholaethau drwy’r system Cyntaf i’r Felin (FPTP) ac 20 wedi’u hethol drwy restrau rhanbarthol.
The Campaign/Yr Ymgyrch
Devolution has proved a positive experience. However, it has also raised new concerns, such as the comparative status of the two types of AM. The Society now maintains a dedicated office in Cardiff to campaign for better government for Wales.

Mae datganoli wedi bod yn brofiad positif. Serch hynny, mae hefyd wedi codi pryderon newydd, megis statws gwahanol i’r ddau fath o AC. Mae’r Gymdeithas nawr gyda swyddfa ymroddedig yng Nghaerdydd i ymgyrchu dros lywodraeth well i Gymru.
