eSTV Support Page

eSTV is a program to facilitate the counting of an STV election. It will run under Windows 95, 98 and NT.

This trial version is freely available for non-commercial use only and is limited to 12 candidates and 60 voters.

An expanded version (50 candidates and 1000 voters) is now available.  It is also available free of charge, however users will be required to register and to sign up to a licence agreement.  It is also for non-commercial use only.

  • Elections conducted according to the official "ERS97" STV rules.
  • Descriptive/Tutorial output - explaining each stage of the count in English.
  • Facility to withdraw candidates
  • Facility to print result sheets over a number of pages, including result sheets multiple pages wide.
  • Vote entry interface for manual entry of votes.
  • Automatic or manual tie-breaking
  • Multiple data files with various utilities.
  • Graphical representation of the progress of the count.
