This area of the site will tell you all about the projects that X-Change is working on, and how you can get involved with the issues that interest you. We form the Youth and Student Wing of the Electoral Reform society, but while campaigning for electoral reform is one of our underpinning goals, we've got a wider remit of issues to campaign on.

Voting Reform

Our main campaign is to help re-energise our democracy and re-connect politics to ordinary people.
We believe that changing the voting system is the first and most vital part of this process.

Citizenship

Citizenship is an integral part of our campaign. We help to promote citizenship education in schools and colleges,
and provide resources on learning and teaching citizenship.

At present we are working on a series of resources for teachers, suitable for teaching young people about voting systems as part of Key Stage 3 Citizenship. If you're interested in finding out more about this resource, which we plan to publish in february 2006, please contact jon@reform.demon.co.uk

Votes at 16

X-Change is founded on the belief in the equal worth of young people's opinions.
Campaigning for the voting age to be lowered to 16 is one of our most important aims, and X-Change is proud to be a member of the Votes at 16 coalition. Click here to visit their web-page.

X-Change is the Youth and Student wing of the Electoral Reform Society - which conducts extensive research on voting systems.
