Democracy Max sought to create a non-partisan space where those with different views could debate and discuss ideas about our democracy, and where political rhetoric could be challenged and unpicked.
Starting with the People’s Gathering in July 2012, three sets of roundtables were convened to distil the ideas from our delegates, discuss their feasibility, why some of them had not yet been implemented, and the forces that prevent change.
The reports from those roundtables have been brought together to present a vision for a good Scottish democracy.
